Are you at a turning point in your career and have you decided for change? Do you feel like you don\’t know how to get started? We advise you! The first step to making a good first impression on all recruiters and therefore potential employers is definitely a quality resume.
Many people feel that spending time decorating their resume is a waste, because today no one will read it in a flood of all job seekers. You might come across the ridiculous theory that half of your Cv ends up in the trash just because too many people applied for the job. Do not believe the story and pay attention to your carefullywhen this document arrives somewhere, do not count on the option that it will definitely impress a person so much that he would like to see you in person. That\’s what we need to believe in, and that\’s what we want to achieve.
What should I not forget when writing a resume? If we want to succeed, what are the things we should not miss and what to think about?
- Photo.
A very discussed topic is definitely your photo. For us – definitely yes. It should be on the resume. That is, your name will be immediately associated with the photo by the recruiter or the head of the department, and thanks to this people will remember you better. However, avoid selfies and photos from parties. The picture should be serious. - Short and concise text.
Do not write litanies, focus only on the important things and what you say about you. You don\’t need to include all the schools you attended, including primary schools. Just the last, most important. Similarly, in the list of your previous work experience, it is not necessary to write about the brigade in the cafe, to stick out what you are really proud of, and most importantly – what is relevant to the position you are applying for. - Graphic design.
It is not enough to just write a word and a few sentences at the end. The ideal is to win a bit in the appearance of the entire text. Engage the imagination or reach out to someone from your area to have more experience in this direction. I\’m sure you won\’t! - Motivation letters.
Just as it is not advisable to rely on the fact that no one wants to read about who you are, do not think that writing a motivational letter is futile. Write down why you are applying for this position, what are your greatest qualities and why you think you will succeed in this job.
