But what if the windshield were to shatter into pieces in a collision? The relative safety of the occupants would be turned into a deadly weapon.
Young children are especially at risk
Safety glass in door panels may be standard in homes where pets run around and young children play. If safety glass breaks, it will only spill small, harmless crystals. Today\’s customers are not limited by transparent materials tinted in many colors. Glass can be clear or have the surface sandblasted to provide adequate privacy in bathrooms and bedrooms.
