Shopping centers can be found in every major city, even really big cities. But why have their numbers increased so much? The reason is simple. As in any business, it is all about money. These malls allow for many different stores under one roof. And they pay rent to the property owners. But why pay rent when they can buy the buildings themselves? [The reason is simple: large shopping malls are very attractive to customers, mainly because they allow them to buy everything from basic groceries to electronics to clothing in one place. And they can also eat. This is why shopping centers attract so many people.
Customers appreciate not having to worry about bad weather because everything is under one roof. In Prague, for example, there is no need to stick your nose out at all; you can take the train to the station, then transfer to the subway and go straight to the shopping center!
Another attraction is the number of clothing and electronics stores and the wide range of choices. You can look around all of them and find what you like and the cheapest store.
Because of the high foot traffic, the center can further attract customers with various discounts. In addition, the space between stores can be used to hold various events to promote the center.
It is therefore no wonder they are so popular. It is often a destination for weekend trips. Of course, the owners are well aware of this, which is why almost all of their stores are open on weekends, and their hours are much the same as on weekdays.
But is this really a suitable destination for families with children? Yes, children will buy things there that will satisfy them. But how long will that pleasure last? How long will it be before a new outfit goes out of style or a new toy is left in the corner? Are these behaviors really what parents want to teach their children?
Wouldn\’t they be better off taking a weekend walk in the countryside, observing wildlife, looking for mushrooms, or picking chestnuts in the fall? Or, if the family is interested in history, wouldn\’t it be nice to visit one of the many castles or chateaus, for example? The possibilities are myriad, and most of them are much more meaningful ways to spend one\’s free time than visiting a store.
