We all know there are robot vacuums that will clean when you are not home. Electronics has become one of the mainstays of today\’s world. New smartphones, computers, televisions, and automobiles are invented all the time. But in addition to these now standard products, there are many other gadgets on the market that are designed for the modern enthusiast.
For example, it is no longer difficult to find lighting that can be controlled by voice or applause. We are talking about so-called smart lights. Do you need to create a romantic atmosphere or, conversely, brighten the lights? No need to get off the couch. Just make an announcement. There is even a special clap bulb: one tap and the lights come on, two taps and the lights go off. [For the more sophisticated, there is Alexa. Amazon has developed such a gadget. It\’s a so-called smart speaker, and it\’s your partner. Artificial intelligence does your bidding. You can control it with your voice. Alexa responds to simple commands. For example, it can tell you the weather, time, appointments, daily schedule, etc.

Alexa is connected to wi-fi 24 hours a day, so it can answer searchable questions on Wikipedia, explain foreign concepts, tell you the latest news, or entertain you with jokes. Unfortunately, this can only be done in a few languages. Czech is not yet visible.
It is also possible to connect Alexa to other appliances. For example, the smart light we already talked about. Or there are so-called smart sockets, controlled via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or GSM mobile networks. These can usually be switched off and on remotely using a smartphone, tablet, or web browser to switch off and on connected devices.
This is only a fraction of what is offered today. The person responsible for Alexa\’s development continues to think about how to make it better. He is even toying with the idea of Alexa having a robot-like body. What does the future hold?
